High-Performance PMB Brazilian Standard
PMB Brazilian Standard (ANP 897/2022)
Bernet Bitumen produces Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB) conforming to Brazilian regulatory and technical standards, including ANP Resolution No. 897/2022 and DNIT 095/2006-EM.
These binders are engineered for tropical climates, providing superior elasticity, adhesion, and deformation resistance for high-performance pavements and waterproofing systems.
Each grade is carefully formulated with SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene) or EVA polymers to ensure long service life under intense heat, heavy traffic, and high humidity typical of Brazilian and Latin American conditions
Engineered for Brazilian Infrastructure Performance
Brazil’s wide range of climatic zones, from humid tropics to semi-arid regions, requires flexible yet durable binders. Bernet PMB (Brazilian Standard) combines polymer modification and viscosity control to deliver exceptional rutting resistance, cohesion, and fatigue performance under extreme loading and temperature cycles.
Engineered for Strength & Flexibility
Comprehensive Range of PMB Brazilian Standard
Bernet Bitumen supplies the complete range of Brazilian-standard PMB grades used in road paving and waterproofing, in full compliance with ANP 897/2022 and DNIT 095/2006-EM.
Bitumen PMA 55/75
Overview: A balanced polymer-modified binder for general road construction in tropical and coastal climates. Offers excellent adhesion and cohesive strength.
Indicative properties: Penetration 55–75 (0.1 mm), softening point ≥60°C, elastic recovery ≥75%, viscosity stable at 135°C. Combines flexibility and durability for mid-temperature applications.
Applications: Used in regional highways, overlays, and maintenance works under high humidity.
Standards: Complies with ANP 897/2022 and DNIT 095/2006-EM (PMA 55/75).
Bitumen PMA 60/85
Overview: A high-performance binder designed for high-load pavements and hot tropical conditions, ensuring maximum rutting resistance and adhesion.
Indicative properties: Penetration 60–85 (0.1 mm), softening point ≥65°C, elastic recovery ≥80%, and excellent aging resistance.
Applications: Used for expressways, ports, and industrial road networks subject to heavy traffic and solar radiation.
Standards: Conforms to ANP 897/2022 and DNIT 095/2006-EM (PMA 60/85).
Bitumen PMA 65/90
Overview: A flexible polymer-modified binder formulated for humid tropical and coastal regions, offering superior moisture resistance and fatigue performance.
Indicative properties: Penetration 65–90 (0.1 mm), softening point ≥60°C, elastic recovery ≥85%, and high adhesion to aggregates.
Applications: Used in coastal pavements, waterproofing membranes, and flexible overlays requiring excellent water tolerance.
Standards: Complies with ANP 897/2022 and DNIT 095/2006-EM (PMA 65/90).
