High-Quality AH Grade Bitumen
AH Grade Bitumen (Aryl Hydrocarbon)
Bernet Bitumen produces Aryl Hydrocarbon (AH) Bitumen, a refined, performance-oriented binder used for high-strength road construction, industrial waterproofing, and applications requiring enhanced stiffness and load-bearing capacity.
Each AH grade is defined by its viscosity and penetration range, providing a balance of strength, flexibility, and resistance to aging under heavy-traffic and high-temperature conditions.
Engineered for Strength and Durability
AH Bitumen grades offer superior adhesion, oxidation resistance, and stability, making them ideal for hot climates and structural pavement layers.
Formulated to meet or exceed ASTM D3381, JIS K2207, and Chinese GB/T 18251 standards, these binders ensure consistent field performance and long-term pavement integrity.

Comprehensive Range of AH Grade Bitumen
Below are our standard AH Grade Bitumen. Each section provides a short technical overview, indicative property ranges, typical applications, and standards. Where projects require tighter tolerances, we provide custom production and technical support.
Bitumen AH-50
Overview: A soft-grade asphalt binder designed for cool or temperate climates where high flexibility and low-temperature crack resistance are critical.
Indicative properties: Penetration 45–55 (0.1 mm), softening point ≥45°C, ductility ≥100 cm, viscosity at 60°C 200–400 Pa·s. Exhibits good adhesion and fatigue life.
Applications: Used in cold-climate road construction, surface dressing, and asphalt mixtures with moderate loads.
Standards: Complies with ASTM D3381, JIS K2207 (AH-50), and GB/T 18251.
Bitumen AH-70
Overview: A medium-stiff binder for temperate regions with moderate to high traffic volumes. Offers a balance between elasticity and stability.
Indicative properties: Penetration 60–80 (0.1 mm), softening point 47–55°C, ductility ≥75 cm, viscosity at 60°C 300–500 Pa·s. Excellent coating and workability.
Applications: Ideal for dense bituminous macadam (DBM), binder courses, and bituminous concrete (BC) in mixed climates.
Standards: Meets ASTM D3381, JIS K2207 (AH-70), and GB/T 18251.
Bitumen AH-90
Overview: A standard hard-grade binder used in warm climates and heavily trafficked pavements. Ensures strong rutting resistance and durability.
Indicative properties: Penetration 80–100 (0.1 mm), softening point 50–58°C, ductility ≥60 cm, viscosity at 60°C 400–600 Pa·s. Excellent resistance to deformation and fatigue.
Applications: Used in expressways, airports, industrial areas, and long-life pavements requiring stability.
Standards: Conforms to ASTM D3381, JIS K2207 (AH-90), and GB/T 18251.
Bitumen AH-110
Overview: A high-viscosity asphalt binder ideal for tropical climates and heavy-traffic applications requiring superior stiffness.
Indicative properties: Penetration 90–110 (0.1 mm), softening point 55–62°C, viscosity at 60°C 500–700 Pa·s, ductility ≥50 cm. Excellent load-bearing and temperature stability.
Applications: Used in runways, container terminals, and expressways exposed to high surface temperatures.
Standards: Complies with ASTM D3381, JIS K2207 (AH-110), and GB/T 18251.
Bitumen AH-130
Overview: A very stiff, high-performance binder designed for extreme hot climates and maximum load-bearing pavements.
Indicative properties: Penetration 120–140 (0.1 mm), softening point ≥60°C, viscosity at 60°C ≥700 Pa·s. Provides outstanding rutting and aging resistance.
Applications: Ideal for highway base layers, industrial pavements, and airport taxiways under severe thermal stress.
Standards: Conforms to ASTM D3381, JIS K2207 (AH-130), and GB/T 18251.
